Goals for the week:

Review/ Remediate budgeting for indepent living after high school.

Review how technology is used in the workforce setting. 

Guest Speakers- (3) Transition to College/ Internet Safety/ How to.... hygiene and grooming skills.

Build upon:

  1. Earning money helps you be independent
  2. You will have many expenses
  3. Organizing

Bell Ringer:

Writing checks and balancing a checkbook

Target Objectives:

  1. Why it is important to manage your money
  2. How to make a follow a budget
  3. how to keep track of your spending

 

MONDAY-

TRIAD (USM) Guest Speaker to discuss Transition to College for those students with mild to moderate disabilities.  Mr. Jerry will explain the process of entering college, give examples of classwork and expectations. 

TUESDAY

Mr. Burton- He will discuss personal hygiene and proper grooming for African American males.  He will also discuss how to be prepared for an interview.  Such as proper attire, speaking appropriately and how to tie a tie for professionalism.

WEDNESDAY

Thank you cards for both guest speakers. 

Review Technology in the workplace that was done last Thursday (sub) and review the end of the chapter. 

Give mixed practice test.

Each student may/will be on different levels based on ability levels.  Therefore each test may be different.

THURSDAY

Basic review of Driver's Ed manual.  Students will answer questions when given prompts or senarios.

This is just for review since most of my students will be working on getting a permit or driver's license soon.

FRIDAY

TRIAD- (USM) representative will discuss Internet Safety.  He will discuss the pros and cons of specific web sites.  They (speakers) will have lap tops on hand to teach student in small groups. 

They will help students to understand how to look up web sites and what information should never be given on the internet.

 

THANKSGIVING BREAK

NOVEMBER 23- NOVEMBER 29

November 21-29 THANKSGIVING BREAK
