Course Description for Marketing Principles

Year long course. Introduces the marketing concept, the marketing mix, channels of distribution, current marketing trends, and selling as a profession. Provides an overview of the total Marketing program and provides employment opportunities in marketing. Emphasizes the various methods used to promote goods and services. Advertising, media selection, display techniques, ad layout, and the basic steps in selling are explored. Students must apply their knowledge to promotion projects.
