Welcome to the Literacy Lab site. I am so excited to be a part of Madison Accelerated High School! So many students go through the public education system growing like weeds unattended and unappreciated. Here at Madison Accelerated High School, every student is a budding bloom being cultivated, nourished, and appreciated for the individuality and character they bring to the table. In our Litercay Lab, I want to tap into every student's potential and show them that to be someone, they themselves must do something to help map out their future. The Literacy Lab's focus is to increase students'abilites through data driven, small group instruction. We want to accent the students' stengths and improve on students' weaknesses. My classroom philosophy is, "Understaning is a two-way street," which Eleanor Roosevelt so simply stated. I can learn from my students and they from me, as long as the lines of communication are always open. Having said that, my door is always open for school related or non-school related issues. I can help with proofreading assignments for other subjects or just lend a much needed ear. I look forward to all our future endeavours.
