Lesson Plan - Week of May 07, 2012
Parents/Guardians,
Students will completed their energy resource projects last Friday, May4, 2012. Presentations started last week and will be completed this week. Vocabulary and mixed practice test will not be assigned this week.
STUDENTS MAY EARN EXTRA CREDIT BY ATTENDING THE DISNEY MOVIE "CHIMPANZEE." TURN IN THE MOVIE TICKET STUB AND SUBMIT A SUMMARY. STUDENTS MAY USE EXTRA CREDIT TO REPLACE OR DROP A HOMEWORK OR CLASS GRADE.
MCT2 starts next week, May 08 - 11, 2012.
Competencies/Obectives
4g, Research and cite evidence of current resources in Earth's systems. Resources such as fuels, metals, fresh water, wetlands and farmlands.
- Determine how we use natural resources
- Classify the different forms of fossil fuels
- Explain how fossil fuels are obtained
- Identify problems with fossil fuels
- Describe alternatives to fossil fuels
- List the advantages and disadvantages of using alternative energy resources
Monday
- Energy resource presentations begin today.
- Introduce av science fiction novel "The Green Book."
Tuesday - Thursday
- MCT2 testing in first period homeroom.
- Continue energy resource presentations.
- Read the Green Book.
class when they have completed their class work.
Friday
- Complete Energy Resource presentations.
- MCT2 make-up
- Rread 'The Green Book.
- Students will not have a mixed practice test this week.
