All About Me!
Hello parents!
I am Christine Montiforte. Welcome to Central Elementary and my second grade classroom. I have been a certified teacher since August 2004. I spent five years (1998-2003) as an assistant teacher at Beauvoir Elementary (1st-2nd grades).
My student teaching experience was at Beauvoir Elementary and Popps Ferry Elementary during 2003-2004. I spent time substituting all over Biloxi & Gulfport School District prior to my student-teaching experience.
My first two certified teaching years were spent with St. Peter's the Apostle (1st Grade) and Mercy Cross High School (7th & 8th grade English and 11th & 12th grade Upper Level Journalism), Biloxi Catholic Diocese School District. During 2004-2005, I was titled "Rookie of the Year," by Mississippi Power and received a very needed grant for St. Peter's the Apostle Catholic School.
Central Elementary became my permanent home August 2006. I taught 2nd Grade for three years and 4th grade for two years.
I earned my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. I earned endorsements in English, Reading, and all Social Sciences for grades 7th-12th. August 8, 2009, I graduated from William Carey University with my Master's of Education Degree.
I am married to a Biloxi Fire Fighter. We have been married for 20 years! We have a son, Matthew! He is currently in 3rd grade! I am here for your children as if they were all my 'Matthew' and assure you that your child will receive the same treatment I expect from my son's teachers. I am here for the children 100%! They are ALL our future leaders!
