Welcome to Bayou View Elementary! My name is Cathy Mouring, and I have had the priviledge of working for the GSD for 12 years (five years as a first grade teacher's assistant and seven years as a fifth grade and first grade teacher). I received my Bachelor's degree from USM- Gulf Coast and my Master's degree from William Carey College. I also have a reading endorsement and I am currently working on a special education endorsement.
I have a military background and I have lived on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for 28 years. Some of my interests include reading, shopping, traveling, and cooking.
Teaching children is very rewarding for me, and I enjoy working with children of all ages. My goal as an educator is to build self-esteem in children and to motivate them to be lifelong learners, problem solvers, and productive members of society.
