    New Orleans cemetaries are called the city of the dead because 90% of the graves are above ground.

    new orleans cemitaries are called "city of death" because, more then half of the people are burried above ground and it makes it look like little cities

    People in the graveyard are burried above ground and it makes it look like little a little city.
