Homework Information
HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEK
Monday – Thursday:
1. Read for 20-30 minutes. Please write the title of the book in the agenda every Monday – Thursday night next to the parent signature in the agenda. Parent signature also indicates the parent has noted whether or not the child earned P.R.I.D.E. for the day.
2. Study your spelling words. Your child can study his/her spelling words through buddy study, spelling pyramids, spelling tiles, etc. A great spelling website for ideas is at: http://www.busyteacherscafe.com/teacher_resources/literacy_pages/spelling.htm.
3. Study your math facts. At the end of 3rd grade, all students need to master their multiplication facts. Students should already know their addition and subtraction facts.
4. Complete any other extra homework. There will be times that additional homework will be sent home for extra practice. The extra homework will be noted in the agenda, so parents are aware of the assignments.
Friday:
5. Show your parents your Friday Folder. The folder needs to be returned with any signature papers (corrected “D” and “U” papers) by the following Monday.
