Weekly Homework Back to All Pages »

What it is?

Each Monday, (or first day of the school week), the students are given a homework packet for the week.  This packet includes a cover sheet outlining the activities for each evening of the week.  A copy of the cover page will be available here each week.

As discussed on Parent Curriculum Night, homework is the child's opportunity to practice skills taught at school.  After a few weeks, the students should be able to do most of these activities  independently.  On occasion, students may need some support with their homework.  It is okay to provide that additional support.  Homework may also include a game as I have found that games are an excellent tool to use to help students practice some basic skills, especially addition and subtraction skills.   Games also allow you to be actively involved in your child's educational program.  Card and board games encourage cooperation.
