The Ohio Statehouse

This is FREE FREE FREE. (OK you need to pay for parking but that is only two bucks for a car load.)

The Statehouse is rich with history and things to see and learn.

You can even sit in when the Senate and House are in session.

You can take a self guided tour (stop at the vistors booth at the 3rd St. entrance first or just wander around.)

I would recommend taking a guided tour - it is free and most of the guides are pretty good.

Better yet get an insider to take you around (if you know someone who works there)

Park under the Statehouse or next door at City Center (you can walk under the street to the State House)

While I normally tell people to avoid gift shops - this one has some ohio made products on sale that make nice gifts to your out of state family.

Santa Maria

Free to walk around the shore side or (if you have aboat) row past the water side.

Looks cool, near COSI and Statehouse, nice picnic area.Laughing

Costs $2.50 for ages 3-12, $5 for adults.Frown

Go with your play group or other group of 10 or more for discount tickets.

The library gave free admission coupons this year for meeting summer reading goals. Tickets were discounted Columbusa day weekend so keep your eye out for discounts.

I'll post here if I find any discounts - Let me know if you do.
