7th and 8th Grade News
Students are picking electives for next year. Be sure you see and sign these papers.
The middle school students in 7th and 8th grade, for whom I consult, are progressing well in their classes. We have a brand new FM System this year. All of my students except one are required to wear this FM System while in School. Dr. Santiago, our audiologist, and I have in-serviced inclusion teachers on the necessity of using FM System and proper use of the microphones. Dr. Santiago and I are available to help at any time during the day to make sure that your children are hearing at optimum levels.
Remember, parents, your job is constant correction of inappropriate speech and language when you are with your child.
I am encouraging parents to contact individual classroom teachers via e-mail when problems arise in class--the e-mail addresses are at the school website--and send a copy of the e-mail to me.
I will begin writing IEP's for next year in April and May of this year. Please look for Notification of Meeting forms in your child's book bag. You must respond to these requests. If you have a specific date and/or time that you would like to meet, please let me know!!!
