About Mr. Redmond

Mr. Redmond began his teaching career in the Gulfport School District at Central Jr. High  School in August 1996.  Mr. Redmond helped open Gulfport Central Middle and taught there until May 1999.  In August, 1999, Mr. Redmond moved to The Learning Center, GSD's Alternative School, where he taught a Self-Contained 3rd-8th grade class with Day Treatment services and served as Lead Teacher and LSC.  In August, 2003 Mr. Redmond moved to Bayou View Middle School as an 8th grade Inclusion Teacher and LSC.   Mr. Redmond worked in the Nathan Walker 6th Grade Academy at Bayou View Middle School for 2 years as an Inclusion Teacher, LSC, and fill in Administrator.  For the scool year 2007/08 Mr. Redmond was the 7th grade Inclusion Teacher, LSC and fill in Administrator.  For the school year 2008/09 Mr. Redmond served as Assistant Principal at Central Elementary School.  When Mr. Redmond's position was eleminated at Central Elementary Mr. Redmond was reassigned for the School Year of 2009/10 as Coordinator of Special Programs at Gulfport Central Middle School and part-time Inclusion Teacher.  In August of 2010 Mr. Redmond moved to Gaston Point Elementary as Special Education Program Coordinator, LSC, and Administrative Assistant.  He will be working with students K - 2.

Mr. Redmond is married to Hope and has two daughters, one lives in Gulfport and  the other lives and works in Mobile, AL.  Mr. Redmond enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with family and his dog Gracie.
