Greetings, Drama Families!
Our Drama Department is working and playing hard! Tonight is the annual Richards Middle School Talent School--which is produced entirely, by the Drama Department. Our 8B class is also busily preparing for the play portion of the November 10 IB Gala.
We just booked 51 eighth grade students/adult family members-for our NYC trip next Spring. We are thrilled!
Greetings, Drama Families!
6th Grade Students are busily experiencing a unit on Romania (yes, Romania!). They have learned much background information about the country, and are now developing a group project on a classic Romanian Fairy Tale!
7th Grades are, at last, finished with their unit on Shakespeare. In most cases, I was extremely proud and impressed with their level of understanding, in terms of Shakespearean text. They are now beginning a study of costuming and props--and their effect on communication!
8th Graders are well into their lengthy unit on Storytelling. (The average person tells between 18-20 "stories" daily!). This will encourage advanced vocal, facial and bodily skill work!
