Teacher's Welcome...

Welcome to the 2011--2012 school year! You can't imagine how excited I am about teaching your children! My name is Beth Wilson, and this is my seventh year to teach at Bayou View Elementary. I have been teaching for a total of eight years. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with concentrations in science and social studies (K-12). I have a Master's in Education from William Carey University, and an endorsement in gifted education. I spent my first year of teaching first grade at Richland Elementary School in Richland, Mississippi. Then my husband and I moved back to Gulfport, where I taught first grade for two years and then for the past five years I was the B.O.O.S.T. teacher. This will be my first year to work with the gifted students in the QUEST Lab at B.V.E! We are going to have a great time in our class, and we are going to learn a great deal together!
It's a pleasure to be apart of Bayou View's faculty and working with Mississippi's best students, as well as being a proud parent to a Bayou View Viking! Please feel free to visit our school, we work hard to provide the best education to the students of Gulfport (#1 Elementary School in MS)!
