Class Information

April 30-May 4

I can't believe the year is so close to ending.   Please stay informed about 5th Graduation; I will let you know all information as soon as I get it.  It is on May 17 in the afternoon (not sure what time).

As MCT2 approaches we are reviewing, but also discussing test taking strategies, including:  eating right, getting enough rest, and how to help the jitters.  Please help to to relay to the students that while these tests are important that they have no reason to be nervous.  It is merely a tool to help see where instruction should begin next year and measure what they have learned so far.  If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.

5th graders and their parents need not attend Parent Night.

Thanks again for all your support,

Becki Shoemake

Research shows that the more a child reads the better they do in school, on standardized tests, and in life.  It will be part of your child's homework to read 30 minutes each evening.   Please take part in this when you are able and make it an enjoyable part of your child's evening. We talk about books a lot in class and recommend them to each other.  Our goal this year should be to assist our children to become life long readers.
