Ms. Darbonne's Kindergarten Class

Each day your child will come home with his/her folder. This folder will contain the weekly newsletter, the  monthly calendar,  your child's behavior report, work completed in class, and homework.

The calendar will be stabled inside the folder, and your child's behavior will be marked on the calendar every day. Happy faces will let you know that your child had a fantastic day! A squiggle face will tell you that your child continued to make a wrong choice after being warned. A sad face will let you know that your child continued to make wrong choices after being warned.

Please know that we encourage and motivate students to make the best possible choices, and we congratulate all students who do. Understand that an occasional squiggle face is not a reason to be alarmed. Students are learning how to be students, and an occasional squiggle face just helps to lead students in the correct path of what is appropriate classroom behavior.

Please check your child's folder every night and sign daily on the calendar next to your child's behavior report.

Dear Parents,

Our goal is to help your children want to be

stop when they leave the classroom.

Read with your child every night. Talk to them and ask questions about what you have read together.

Practice identifying letters and sounds.

Practice identifying numbers and counting objects.

Practice Handwriting- Remember, write top to bottom.
