Strategies for Success
The following are the strategies the students learn and use during the Soar to Success lessons.

Predict: What will happen or what will we learn?..."I use clues from the text I read, the pictures, or the graphics to make a prediction."
- Clarify: Reread or discuss words, events, or ideas that were unclear..."When I don't understand something, I reread the text, or look at the pictures or graphics."
- Question: After reading, ask a question for others to answer..."I ask a question that could be answered as I read or after I've read."
- Summarize: Identifies key events and a theme in the text..."I tell in my own words the important things (characters, setting, plot, and theme) in the story."
