Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Angela Avery. I'm originally from Alabama and have called Pensacola home since 1997. It's a joy to live on the Gulf Coast.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Athens State University and a Master's Degree from the University of West Florida.
I teach Language Arts and this will be my second year teaching at Ransom Middle School.
To My Students:
It is my honor to have you in my classroom this year.
I expect you to come to school each day prepared and ready to learn.
We will have loads of fun and I want you to leave with a sense of academic gain from your experiences.
I look forward to a GREAT year !!!!
To the Parents:
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's academic career.
It is my hope that at the end of the school year they will look back with fond memories of their experiences in my classroom.
My goal is for each student to walk away prepared for high school and ready to face the future.
I ask that your child come to school each day prepared. That means materials in hand and open mind ready to embrace the priviledge of learning.
Please feel free to e-mail me at any time if you have any concerns about your child. I will respond as quickly as possible. Please use the e-mail link at the top of the page.
There are a few suggestions over and above what is on the school-wide supply list that I would like you to equip your child with for the school year. These are not required, but will help with class assignments.
---- Dry Erase Marker ("skinny" kind will do)
---- Highlighter Marker
---- Hand held pencil sharpener
---- Loose leaf paper
Make sure you have a designated folder for this class. Any color will do, just make certain it is only used for Language Arts.
Students must use blue or black ink, or pencil --- No colored ink.
