Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Angela Avery. I'm originally from Alabama and have called Pensacola home since 1997. It's a joy to live on the Gulf Coast.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Athens State University and a Master's Degree from the University of West Florida.
I teach Language Arts and this is my fifth year teaching at Ransom Middle School.
To My Students:
It is my honor to have you in my classroom this year.
I expect you to come to school each day prepared and ready to learn.
We will have loads of fun and I want you to leave with a sense of academic gain from your experiences.
I look forward to a GREAT year !!!!
To the Parents:
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's academic career.
It is my hope that at the end of the school year they will look back with fond memories of their experiences in my classroom.
My goal is for each student to walk away prepared for high school and ready to face the future.
I ask that your child come to school each day prepared. That means materials in hand and open mind ready to embrace the priviledge of learning.
Please feel free to e-mail me at any time if you have any concerns about your child. I will respond as quickly as possible. My e-mail address is aavery@escambia.k12.fl.us.
There are a few suggestions over and above what is on the school-wide supply list that I would like you to equip your child with for the school year. These are not required, but will help with class assignments.
*Three Ring Binder, this may be shared with another class if that teacher doesn't mind.
*Loose Leaf Paper
*Students must use blue or black ink, or pencil --- No colored ink.
*Hand held pencil sharpener that collects shavings.
*an inexpensive paperback dictionary
Once again, it is my honor to have your child in my class each day.
