Literacy
Welcome to our literacy page! We would love to take this opportunity to explain all that we do with literacy in 2nd grade! We have many great things going on with our kiddos involving literacy!
We have an uninterrupted reading block from 8:15- 11:00 Monday through Friday. There should be no phone calls or visitors unless it is an emergency. This is important so we can have time to work with your child and give them the best learning experience possible.
Just Right Books
Each Monday, Just Right Bags are sent home. The students choose three books at their reading level to take home and read for the week. Ask your child to read one of their books to you. They really enjoy choosing their own books and discussing them with their classmates. Please encourage your child to read their Just Right Books at home!
