~ • Posted 2 years ago. #We never suspected this. Now we see how horrible oil is. We had NO immediate way of stopping this, they're inventing new devices to contain the spill as we speak. This may be America's biggest folly. You would think a country with this much money (in debt but still a lot better than Greece or countries in rural Africa) would've thought of something, some "failsafe", earlier. Oil was great to use back in the 19th and 20th centuries. It's the 21st century now. It's time to move away from oil...
