The Brighton Middle School library is open Monday-Friday, 7:30-3:00. We have 7 computers with Internet access for student use. Our collection consists of over 15,000 books, reference materials, professional items, A/V materials and equipment. Books check out for two weeks, reference materials for two days. Late fees are $.10 per day and, when incurred, must be paid before checking out again. Students are allowed to check out a maximum of two books.
Students check out books during their reading classes only. Each reading class has a scheduled day that the teacher may bring the entire group. Students may also "flex" to the library on an individual basis during allotted times. Teachers may schedule a time for a class to do research. Students may also research independently provided they have a note from the teacher, including the topic.
