September Lessons--Ask your fifth grader!
This month, we are doing some beginning notation reading. We read the book Freddie the Frog and the Thump in the Night which introduced us to the notes of the treble clef staff. Ask your child about Freddie's adventures!
Most classes will be having "Popsicle Parties" the week of October 12th. The others will have their's as soon as they earn 20 good behavior points.
During the month of September, we learned Patriotic Songs. We learned some traditional songs and some newer songs from our textbook and other sources. Ask your child about the songs we learned and discuss with them what being a "Patriot" means.
