September Plans

Fifth graders have been working on a couple of songs to help them out in Social Studies.  We learned "Fifty Nifty United States" by Ray Charles to help with us learn all 50 states and we also learned "We The People" to help us learn the words to the Preamble of the Constitution.  We will be continuing to learn The Star-Spangled Banner (all 3 verses) and America (My Country'Tis of Thee).  We will also be learning some other Patriotic songs as well "Education Rocks", the theme song for SAFE.

 Fifth graders will be working on some folk songs this year, but will concentrate on music reading skills through Recorder Karate. Fifth grade will resume recorder instruction soon.
