Who Is Mrs. Kristo?
Hi there! My name is Mrs. Amanda Kristo, formally know as Ms. Lichon. This is my fifth year at Komensky School teaching reading to grades third thru fifth. Reading is such a special skill. Almost everything we do in our lives requires some sort of reading. Even if it's following the traffic signs, ordering dinner from a menu, or reading a text message from a friend. I LOVE reading!!!
Education
I earned my Masters of Arts degree from Dominican University in the summer of 2010, and I am now a Reading Specialist. I received my Bachelors degree from Elmhurst College in 2006 in Elementary Education and Reading.
Fun Facts!
I married an amazing man named Kosta in July 2009 . We welcomed a gorgeous baby girl into our family in August 2010.
My favorite author is Dr. Seuss because his rhymes are engaging and so imaginative. Dr. Seuss takes you places you could never even imagine! "The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the more places you'll go!" ~Oh, the Places You'll Go!
I enjoy cooking, but am still learning how to create delicious meals. (Maybe culinary school will be my next adventuring in learning.)
My favorite animal is our family dog, Ralph E.
I love falling asleep at night reading, being outside during sunny days, and spending time with my family and friends.
