Students will become familiar with the wolrd around them starting with a campus tour on August 11. They will become so familiar with MCHS that is they are required, they can lead me to a requested location. Students will also become familiar with the community around MCHS. For example, they will learn about the post office, local stores, Walmart, fire station, police department, etc. They will also learn the purpose of each facility and how to utilize each. Student will prepare for community based instruction by learning safety around MCHS, community safety, and safety signs. We will practice positive and negative community behaviors so that students are familiar with what is appropriate and acceptable.
