Water Bottles: Only clear pure water is allowed in student water bottles. We are having problems with flavored waters and colored sweet drinks in the water bottles. When these are spilled, it leaves sticky residue on carpet and is attracting ants. Please make sure that water bottles contain only water. Thank you for your help.
Music: Ms. Bartlett is requesting Popsicles be donated for Music classes. Classes earn these when they reach their goals.
Art: Ms. Quinn is asking for donations of individually wrapped candy for the "Free Art WeeK". She requests that no chocolate be donated.
THANKS: A BIG thank you to everyone who donated the boiled eggs and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches for our Science Projects. It was a success!

BAKE SALE: Our first 5th Grade Bake Sale is coming up. It will be 14 October. Please wrap every item for individual sale of .50 cents each. We will need parent volunteers to help with the sale.
SAFE - SAFE (Students Are For Education) Program: This is a 12 week program run by the Coweta County Sheriff's Office for 5th Graders. The classes meet one hour per week on Tuesdays and are taught on site by Deputy Sheriff Hixson. The program is designed to give 5th graders tools to prepare for middle school. Topics include peer pressure, gangs, and drug awareness. This is an excellent program that our county law enforcement provides for our students. There is a Graduation Ceremony tentatively scheduled for 10 November 09 in the White Oak Gym. Please make plans to attend to show support for your child.
4H - The Coweta County University of Georgia Extension Office will begin the 4H classes in September and are conducted one day per month until May. The classes offer a variety of science programs that are in alignment with the 5th Grade Science GPS. 4H also offers a large number of classes and activities at the Coweta County Fairgrounds.
