Thanksgiving
Big Idea: Why did the Pilgrims choose to come to America? Discuss the arrival and how the Native Americans helped them to survive.
We will read about the Pilgrims and work on class art such as a repica of the Mayflower and representations on the houses used in that period.
We will be making individual scarecrows to decorate our classroom. Please send in the following items by November 16th.
All students must bring in one large brown paper bag.
Additional items that would be helpful are magazine pictures, used greeting cards, wrapping paper, pipe cleaners, yarn for hair, buttons, and small scraps of material.
