A letter was sent home on Tuesday, November 10th.  I am asking that each student bring in $5.00 to pay for a Thanksgiving luncheon that we will have in our classroom.  This amount will cover one entree, two side dishes, and cornbread from Boston Market.  They will deliver the meals to the school, and it includes all the necessary items for the meal (plates, utensils, napkins).  Please have the funds sent to school by November 20th so that I may place our order.  I look forward to sharing this special day with any parent that would like to participate.  Please make sure you have completed the parent volunteer process before making plans to attend.

We will participate in a schoolwide initiative to provide food baskets to families in need.  Second grade has been asked to donate PASTA for the baskets.  Noodles, spaghetti, and mac 'n cheese packages would be welcome additions to these food baskets.

Please send in a large brown paper bag with you student. 

If you happen to have any scrap paper, used greeting cards, buttons, yarns, or other items that would be easy to glue on a scarecrow for decoration, we would appreciate those items, too.
