K4 is excited about reading
Reading circles have begun and we are excited about begining to read books. With the beginning of reading circles our work load also increases as the children learn to work on their own doing seatwork during reading circles. The children are also developing more self control as they learn reading circle routines and follow seat work directions.
Our reading circles are: Owls, Turtles, and Butterflies. As you may know the reading circle do not all meet on the same days. Two groups meet each day 3 times a week. The Owls and Turtles have started in books and the Butterflies will begin very soon.
We have started Treasure Box on Fridays. This is a reward for those who have shown good behavior throughout the week.
This a very busy and exciting time in K4.
