April 24, 2009

April 24, 2009   Dear Families, The Fun Fair is tonight from 5 until 8!  Come and join in the fun. There are lots of games, activities, food, and fun to be had by all.  If you did not purchase tickets prior to today, they will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  Remember to bid on the Silent Auction items in the gym! Next Friday, May 1st is our trip to the Milwaukee Museum.  Students must be here at 6:45 AM.  We must leave promptly so we do not miss our IMAX show, “The Mysteries of the Great Lakes.”  We will return to Johnson at 3:00 PM.  Please have someone here to meet your child when they return.  If you requested a sack lunch, those have been ordered from the cafeteria.  Otherwise please send a lunch with your child.  You may also send snacks for them to eat while traveling.  Students may bring things to do on the bus.  Any electronic items that are brought will be left on the locked bus while we are in the museum.  Johnson School is not responsible for these items.  It is your child’s responsibility to keep track of their belongings.   Thank you for your cooperation.   Mrs. Rooney has begun working with the class on their music for the 4th grade program, “Dance, Dance, Dance!”  We will also be working on learning songs and making decorations for the show during class.  The performances will be on May 14th.  There will be a dress rehearsal at 1:00 PM and the show at 7:00 PM.  You and your family are welcome to attend both performances. If you have any questions about costumes or the performance, please contact Mrs. Rooney or myself.   I am sending home a book order today.  If you are interested in placing an order, please return it by Thursday, April 30.  All checks should be made out to Scholastic Book Clubs.  Please contact me if you have any questions.   I continue to enjoy working with your child.  It is hard to believe that we are so close to the end of the school year, but I am certainly ready for some warm temperatures.   In the interest of children,   Sandy Brooks
