The Wolcott Tech girls volleyball team is grateful that we were able to reschedule the senior night volleyball game after the snow storm last week. These seniors have been dedicated to the sport of volleyball and our team for the past four years and their hard work has paid big dividends as evident by their overall season record. These girls have gone to camps, clinics, winter league, and played volleyball over the summer to improve their game.

Over the past four years, these young ladies have bought into the idea of building a volleyball family on and off the court and have been a pleasure to coach and work with as a team. They have inspired our younger players to continue the tradition of creating a strong volleyball program.

We need to thank our senior managers, Jack & Dennis for all of their dedication to the girls program, and for being the team’s big brother to all 26 volleyball sisters on the team.

We would like to thank all of the players, managers, and team parents for their help with the senior night festivities today.

We are looking forward to the state tournament game on Thursday.

Wolcott Tech’s record goes to 12-6 and Nonnewaug goes to 13-3.

The Wolcott Tech Coaching Staff is going to look back at this season as one that will bring back great memories and pride. This group of senior girls have been the rebirth of our volleyball program and have built a solid foundation for the rest of the girls for years to come.

Their dedication to the game and our school was second to none. The girls played in the off season, during the summer, and attended camps and clinics as well. They trained their little sisters on the volleyball court to pick up where they have left off.

Although the season may be over, it some ways it’s just beginning. The Senior Girls are going to run the jv practice with the coaches on Monday and Tuesday to help the younger girls get ready for next year’s season. This reaffirms the devotion and heart this team has for the game and the concern for the younger players. Where other players would have stayed home, these young ladies want to come back to the gym and play volleyball.

In summary, thanks for a great four years, good luck to our seniors in the future, and we will miss the friendships and support of the senior parents over the years who have become our extended family.

Wolcott Tech’s record goes to 12-7 and Valley Regional goes to 10-9.
