Team GEICO Discipline Plan:
THE RULE
Conduct yourself in a manner that promotes learning for you and your classmates.
Do not conduct yourself in a manner that interferes with your learning or your classmates learning.
*Additional team and class procedures will be introduced during the first week of school.
Consequences:
Positive consequences: verbal/written praise, enjoy class, maximize learning, personal satisfaction
Negative Consequences for Tier 1 (disrespectful, disruptive, inappropriate language, refusal to follow directions, unprepared for class, etc):
1st Offense: Verbal Warning and reminder of rule/procedure
2nd Offense: Detention, corrective assignment
3rd Offense: Detention, corrective assignment, parent contact, action plan
4th Offense: Parent/Teacher/Student Conference & consequence
5th Offense: Office Referral, possible ISS, OSS, alternate placement
Negative Consequences Tier 2 (destruction of property, cheating, defamation, PDA, ditching, lying, bullying, etc.):
1st Offense: Review of Rules, Detention, Action Plan, Parent Contact
2nd Offense: Detention, Parent/Teacher/ Student Conference, additional consequence
3rd Offense: Office Referral, possible ISS, OSS, alternate placement
Negative Consequence Tier 3 (abusive language toward staff/teachers, fighting, drug possession, weapons, etc.):
Immediate office referral and parent contact
