Task
Your child is working on improving articulation skills and an important part of accomplishing this goal involves home practice.
This task will help you gain a greater understanding about speech articulation and disorders.
In addition, it will provide you with the guidance to assist your child with speech practice at home.
To accomplish this task, you will need to:
• Get answers to your questions about articulation problems.
• Learn more about speech articulation disorders.
• Read about suggestions on how to help your child get the most out of speech therapy.
• Assist your child on their speech quest by completing various articulation activities and games.
Process
1. Read questions and get factual answers about articulation problems from Kid Source OnLine.
2. Learn more about the specifics of articulation disorders by checking out Children's Speech Sound Disorders.
3. Read about suggestions on how to help your child get the most out of speech therapy (How to Help Your Child Get the Most Out of Speech Therapy by Carol Casserly).
4. Choose an activity or game that features your child's target sound and practice with your child.
