Go Math! and Handwriting
Last updated November 6th, 2011 at 6:34 p.m.This year we have added a new math series. This math series is called "Go Math". This is an awesome new math program! Our students will have an opportunity to see how math works in the real world through the real world videos that engage the students befor each new math unit begins. This math series also offers math games through technology at thinkcentral.com. I am excited about using this math program! I can't wait for our students to start having fun while learning.
We will also be starting a new handwriting curriculmn! Our students will spend at least 15 min a day practicing their handwriting skills. Research has shown that cursive writing increases the bloodflow in the brain and allows students to be more creative and efficient academically.
I hope both of these new additions to our curriculmn will prove to be effective. Both, will help our students become life long learners and successful citizens in our community.
