Welcome!

Dear Parents,

The 1st semester has quickly come and gone.  We are working hard everyday to get prepared for ISAT.  We have taken the ThinkLink Assessment;  According to ThinkLink, over 80 percernt of our class is struggling with reading comprehension.  Druing daily instruction we will be reading passages/essays, and stories and answering comprehension questions.  Some questions may be who were the main characters, what was the problem in the story, how was the problem solved and so on.  I encourage you to have your child to read nightly (Sunday-Saturday).   After your child reads, please ask them similar comprehension questions about the story.   We had a wonderful awards ceremony--Please congratulate Taylor Thomas for being student of the Month for the month of September.  Also, congratulate Taylor Thomas and Zsanique Sanders for making it on the Honor Roll for the 1st semester.   Parents please continue to feel free to call me anytime if you have any questions.  I can be reached before school from 7:00-7:30 and afterschool from 2:45-3:15 Monday through Friday.  Our class schedule is listed below.  If you would like to visit our classroom please call to make an appointment.  Also, if you would like to volunteer in our classroom it would be greatly appreciated.  It is always good for our students to see their parents take an interest in their education.

Thank you,

Miss. Miller
