6 Easy Boosts for your student
Last updated August 29th, 2011 at 6:34 a.m.
1) Start the day with a nutritious breakfast. It does not have to be the traditional fare, but something filling and satisfying is best.
2) Bookmark the school website, district website and this website for easy access to important events and homework.
3) Have a regular spot for homework. Establish a routine for homework. Discourage long sessions of homework-have your student work on some, get up and move around and then go back to complete the work.
4) Get plenty of sleep. Teenagers need alot of sleep.
5) Encourage reading for fun and enjoyment.
6) Talk to your student about their day. Share your day with them. Share stories about when you were in school.
