Parents, please work with your student on their multiplication tables and addition and subtraction families each night. Just 5 to 10 minutes of drill each night can have an extreme impact on their class work and confidence. We drill each day before the math lesson, but it would be helpful if they could do this at home as well. You can find these tables and families located in your child's homework planner.

Thank you parents for working with your child. Students are beginning to pick up speed in math class thanks to your help! It is imperative for students of this age to be able to recall math facts very swiftly. We move quickly in math class, and students who struggle with their multiplication and math families may get left behind. It makes it less tedious and even enjoyable when students can keep up. So far, so good! Keep up the good work with drilling students at home; it pays off in the classroom!
