Habits and Training
Two Basic Rules
1. Raise your hand for permission to talk.
2. Go to your desk for teaching time, sit correctly and quietly.
Play Time
1. Always play quietly “use inside voices.”
2. Toys must always be put away neatly.
3. Take care of the toys.
4. Share
Lining Up
1. Line up in two rows, girls and boys.
2. A line leader will be chosen daily.
3. Children are to walk in line quietly.
4. Stay directly behind the person in front of you, no touching!
Restroom
1. Each child will be given time during the course of the morning to use the restroom twice.
2. Each child should be taught by the parent to be responsible for their own clothing.
3. Each child should be taught by the parent to be responsible for their own proper toilet sanitization. (To go potty by themselves and clean themselves after.)
Sitting Habits 1. When the teacher says “Class, proper sitting positions,” children will face the board with their hands in their lap. 2. Their feet must be on the floor 3. Eyes should be kept on the teacher. 4. Children answer only when their name is called. 5. Children should always raise their hand during teaching time asking for permission to speak. Special Procedures Snack Time A healthy snack will be provided daily for the children. Outside Play The children will be allowed outdoor play as the weather permits for 30 minutes a day. Field Trips The preschool class will be taking 2 field trips during the course of the school year. One in the Fall and one in the Spring. Parents will be notified of the date and time as soon as plans are finalized and cleared through the administration. Parents are encouraged to attend.
