Week 1:
Monday: 8-25-08: All classes.
1. Begin Discussion of class syllabus
Tuesday: 8-26-08: All classes.
1. Continue Discussion of class syllabus
2. Discuss logging in.
3. Begin Microtype: set-up, technique,importance of keyboarding skills
4. Get assigned seats
Wednesday: 8-27-08: All classes.
1. Finish discussion of class syllabus: get signed by parent or guardian and return by Thursday.
2. Classroom scavenger hunt-use for quiz on Friday.
3. Microtype
Thursday: 8-28-08: All classes.
1. Take up syllabus.
2. Discuss website and how to use and access for class.
3. Website notes- Fill in the blanks using the website for answers. Finish for homework.
4. Quiz on Friday. May use syllabus if returned today and website notes if completed by Friday.
Friday: 8-29-08: All classes.
1. Go over using Quia.com/Review Microtype
2. Complete Quiz over class. Quiz counts two times.
3. Microtype when finished.
Monday: 9-1-08
1. Holiday!
Tuesday: 9-2-08:
1. Pre-test on computer parts.
2. Begin notes on computer parts.
Period 6:
1. Discuss the Internet and using for searching.
2. Students will create a list of 5 items they want to purchase, include a picture for each, short description, price, and the website they used. (Save as: Internet search one)
3. Review saving files in folders and naming files.
4. Microtype when finished.
Wednesday: 9-3-08:All classes.
1. Finish notes on computer parts.
2. Draw front/back of computer.
3. Microtype when finished.

1. Review the Internet
2. Complete Search Activity #

1. Review parts of computer.
2. Peripheral Devices notes.
3. Identify peripheral devices handout.
4. Microtype when finished.

1. Discuss Internet Safety.
2. Students will complete a search on Internet Safety using a handout.
Friday: 9-5-08:
1. Quiz on parts of computer.
2. Begin computer knowledge search. Finish for homework if not completed in class. Due on Monday. (1,2,3,and 8th periods only.)
