A little about Melodie Carr
I am looking forward to my 18th year at Parkview. It's hard to believe that I've been teaching that long. I guess the old saying about how time flies when you are having fun really is true!
In addition to the enjoyment I get from teaching math, I have also found the time to continue my own education. I have my Bachelor's degree in mathematics from West Georgia. After three years of teaching, I went back to school to earn my Master's degree and my Education Specialists' degree From Georgia State University. I also have earned my Gifted Certification and, proudly, my National Board Education.
I enjoy being involved in the community. I am Parkview's Relay for Life Captain and look forward to that event each year. I hope to continue to build our student body's involvement and hope to have a parent team for the first time this year.
I am a foster for dogs from the Society for Humane Friends and enjoy helping them when time permits. My husband, Jonathan, and I currently are home to 5 wonderful four-legged children. We have quite the household!
