Religion

We will begin our religion class with the study of Church History while also preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Review notes nightly and complete assigned readings.

Due:  September 10

Name

Date of service

Amount of time spent

Service activity performed

The information was  signed  by you and  your sponsor or parent sign.  The sponsor or parent may write a comment if they would like to do so.

Due: September 15

The Religion Journal is a marble copybook decorated in the front with your name and symbols that are representative of you and your interests and talents.  The back should have pictures of family, friends,  or prayer cards.  The book is covered in clear contact paper.

Math

You should be using math in your life-- real world connections.

Have you gone out to eat and figured out the tip?  Have you shopped and estimated the amount being spent?  Look for the ads for items on sale, and calculate the percentage of savings.

As time gets closer for the return to school, visit some web sites to practice your skills.

Some suggested sites are:

www.mathforum.org

www.matti.usu.edu

www.suelebeau.com

www.Iknowthat.com

Most of these will offer you a variety of ways to practiceskills.  Remember to also review math vocabulary.

If you know you are weak in a particular skill put that subject in the search engine and see what web sites are available.
