Welcome to kindergarten! Reading, phonics, writing, math, social studies, and science are part of your child's daily schedule. Music, P.E. and library are twice a week. We review letters and letter sounds everyday. When we read the morning story we learn reading concepts. Don't forget to practice sight words at home. In math we count, sort, pattern, and learn number concepts. Counting objects and matching to the number is important. Additon and subtraction is also done daily. Homework gives your child extra practice on concepts covered during the week. Please remember to check your child's folder each night. If you have questions, please let me know.
