Welcome to Civics!
Welcome back to academics! 
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, some of whom I'm sure I already know. This year's social studies course is Civics and American Government. Not sure what "civics" means? Don't worry - you soon will!!
When you return to academics on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, we will begin discussing what it means to be an American citizen along with the rights and responsibilities that come with being a citizen. We will also be studying the diversity of cultures, beliefs, and values which exist in America.
CONSTITUTION DAY is September 17th (which is also Mr. Gauld's birthday). All Civics classes will participating in a special activity honoring the U.S. Constitution.
I will update this website prior to the beginning of each cycle. Regular use of this site will assist you in keeping up with topices, assignments and projects, and homework.
