Last updated 2 years, 8 months ago. Created on May 19, 2009.

If you and your son/daughter has lost someone significant, you might be thinking of what is out there in the community that can help.  Below you will find some information and also several links that can lead you to other services.

From my opinion, is important that you keep an eye on your son/daughter, if he/she has experienced a significant loss.  Also, please be sure to let your son/daughter's guidance counselor know or you may call me, the School Social Worker.  If helps us as educators, when we know and can understand why your son/daughter has changed his/her behavior dramatically in the classroom or why he/she all of the sudden seems less focus and unable to do his/her classwork.

One agency that has done a lot of work with grieving children and Teens is            THE COVE.  Here is their website:   http://www.covect.org/
