LEAP review

Dear Parents,
In an effort to cover as much review material as possible for the LEAP test in April, we have changed what we are doing in class. Students will be tested on materials from fifth grade to eighth grade. Unfortunately I am unable to cover all the needed review during class time and continue with Louisiana History. We are still studying Louisiana History everyday until 2:40. At that time, students report to their assigned centers for the remainder of class. They each are to complete a rotation in each of the activities each week. The five activities are computer (EAGLE test), LEAP workbook, COACH workbook, Strategies in U. S. History, and Scholastic magazine. I know the LEAP workbook requires a longer period to read and complete the assignments in it. Most have not completed chapter 1 and we have been doing this for three weeks now. There are 23 chapters in the LEAP workbook. Because it is taking longer than planned for them to complete a chapter in the workbook, they will need to work on these assignments at home. The students will be required to turn these assignments in on the required dates along with any other work assigned in class. Thank you for your help.
