Practice # 29 - 37

You do have a new note so learn that fingering. Practice going from your new note to each of the notes you know and back to the new low note!

Say the names of the note for each exercise then play it.

Be ready to play each song by yourself (with the CD)

Have fun while you practice. Make up a song using the notes we already know. Using Finale NotePad, write your song.

Jan 15 - 22, 08

Practice exercise # 27 - 32.

Say a note's name  -  play it 4 times.

Say another note's name - play it 4 times then alternate between the 2 notes. Do this with all the notes that you know.

Then go back and play # 27 - 32.

January 7-14th

Welcome back.Smile

For your practice this week, practice all the exercises that we have learned starting at #1 and go through #32.

Try to play the exercise fast - slow and fast again.

November 6

  1. Practice #19 - 26
  2. Say the notes name for each exercise. For example say C, play C; say E, play E. Try to switch from one note to another without looking at your fingers. Start slowly, then try to switch faster.
  3. Say the random note names and then play that note. For example say C, play C; say E, play E. (Use the notes that you have learned on your instrument.) Try to switch from one note to another without looking at your fingers. Start slowly, then try to switch faster.
  4. Go back to exercises #19 - 26. You should be able to play them faster than you did at first.

October 30th

  1. Say the name of a note (that we have learned) and play it. Repeat with the other notes learned. Change from one note to another as fast as you can and still get the  good, right sound.
  2. Practice numbers 14-26 with the CD.  For number 22 do part A first, then go back and do part B.
  3. Make sure your instrument is cleaned and oiled if needed at home.
