Three Foster teachers will again volunteer to sponsor an after-school chess club on Mondays from 1:45 to 2:45. We will have two groups, Beginners who need to learn chess and Advanced players who have more experiene and knowledge. This year we must limit our enrollment in this activity to 40 students.

     First enrollment will be offered to students who attended last year. We think if they loyally attended all year and enjoyed chess they should be rewarded with the first opportunity to join. They will receive the permission to join slips first. It is important that they return these slips promptly. Then, beginning with grade 5 and working down, students will be offered an opportunity to join. If students are interested in joining and there is not a space for them we will create a waiting list.
