The theme for the new year is get ready. Ready to learn and prepare to get a diploma. Ready to become better citizens. Ready to understand why you are in school. Ready to get the message from each teacher. Life and physcial science are the backbone of science and are vital to everyday life. Are You Ready to discover.
We are beginning a new year. The first quarter is when the foundation is laid for the remainder of the year. The students will be introduced to their subject areas and gaining the basics that will allow them to dig deeper into science as the year passes on.
With the new year comes a new dedication to learning new things. Group A will pursue an integrated class of life and physical science. The year will begin with an exploration of earth science.
Group B will be pursuing a more advanced level of physical science. After some basic information they will begin with the basics of matter and chemistry.
Group C will work on the principles of physics. They will begin with the principles of motion. Each unit will build upon a foundation of scientific laws and vocabulary.
Yes, 2011 will be both challenging and exciting. Science will continue to come alive.
The students of MSSC will be participating in the December 8th District Science Fair. The fair will be held in gymnasium of Madison High School. Each of the MSSC students will particpate in a project. The Next 25 days will be challenging but very rewarding and exciting. Some project ideas include: a mouse in a maze; building the perfect rocket; how to make the most of solar energy; and others.
