Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band
- Click this link to access the band's calendar on CHARMS . Type the code "DMSBand" in the Parent/Student log-in and then enter your student ID. Every student has been given a unique ID for the band, which is different that your school ID. This has been changed for your security. We will supply this ID to each student.
- Click the Forms link to print out the Handbook, supply lists, private lesson forms and other important information.
NEWS AND ANNOUCEMENTS
- Please check the CHARMS calendar regularly.
- In the morning ALL students being dropped off by parents must be dropped off at the rear of the building. NO parent traffic is allowed in the front parking lot. Band students will need to drive to the back of the building and enter the doors by the tennis court.
REHEARSALS, SECTIONALS, PERFORMANCES
- Check CHARMS for a listing of events. Below is the sectional and rehearsal schedule for both Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. The band directors will let you know when these begin for the new school year:
- MONDAYS
- 7:00-8:00am Bassoon, Oboes and French Horns
- TUESDAYS
- 7:00-8:00am Clarinets and Trumpets
- WEDNESDAYS
- 7:00-8:00am Flutes and Percussion
- 3:30-4:45pm Symphonic Band (check CHARMS for scheduled rehearsals)
- THURSDAYS
- 7:00-8:00am Saxophones, Tubas, Euphoniums and Trombones
- FRIDAYS
- 7:00-8:00am Wind Ensemble

THESE ITEMS ARE REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE
- Black 1 in. binder with plastic protector sheets for music
- 2 Pencils at all times for class
- Flip folder (holds music for football season)
- Lyre (attaches flip folder to instrument – not needed for bassoon, oboe or percussion)
- SUGGESTED ONLY: Folding music stand for home practice
- SUGGESTED ONLY: Combined Metronome/Tuner for home practice (keeps the beat and identifies the notes and tuning)
