I am a 2002 Honors Graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education along with a supplementary degree in Reading. I also earned a Masters Degree in Education in 2005.  I am married and have one daughter named Emylia.

Discipline Plan

Rules

1. Listen and follow directions.
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
4. Stay on task in your assigned area unless otherwise directed.
5. Respect each other and your school building both inside and out.

Positive Consequences

1. Daily praise from the teacher.
2. Daily notification to the parents of an excellent day in the Take Home Folder.
3. Beep Beep Bucks given daily and weekly for outstanding behavior and for a wonderful week.  These can be redeemed for a treasure box prize, homework pass, or extra computer time.

Negative Consequences

1. The student will receive a warning.
2. The student will have 10 minutes of “think time”.  This time will be provided immediately unless we are at a critical point of learning.  The child will reflect on the behavior that was unacceptable and write about the expected behavior.
3. I will call the parent about the problem.

      4.  The student will be sent to the principal’s office.
