SATURDAY, MAY 5 – INN VISION
Our Middle school students are invited to the InnVision ministry at 4 PM. InnVision is the opportunity to help cooking and serving food for the homeless. For more information, please contact Hari Rediawan.
MAY 6 - BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Let’s join the birthday celebration at 11:10 AM in the dining hall! Happy Birthday to Victor Ma, Candice Santoso, Kirsten Huang, Teacher Dewi Atmadja, and Teacher Devie Lin; may God shower them with His blessings on their special day. The birthday students will receive 200 points which can be redeemed at the next The ARK Store (July 29). After the celebration, the Toddlers will return to their classroom and be ready to be picked up by their parents while the PreK-K students will stay at the dining hall waiting for their parents! Parents of PreK-K students: please come to the dining hall right after the Service; the teacher will not release your child until your arrival. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
If you have not received the birthday points, please contact Teacher Sharon Budijono in the store on the 5th Sunday.
MAY 13
MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION
The students will make a special craft for their moms; they will sing a special song; they will also distribute a special gift. Be sure to come, to watch and to get a Special Gift on this Special Day from someone Special in your life!
SECOND SUNDAY is SPIRIT SUNDAY
The student will receive extra 5 points for giving a picture of him/her with his/her dad/uncle/grandpa to the classroom teacher. Please note that the picture will not be returned to students.
CD REQUEST
On May 27 we will start our new Sunday school year of 2012-2013. As previous years, I copied some songs in a CD for each child, hoping that your child will listen to the CD every day. If you think the CD is helpful and you would like to receive a new CD for the new Sunday school year, please send me an email no later than May 13. If I don’t receive your CD request by May 13, I assume that you do not need one.
MAY 20
GRADUATION CEREMONY
You are all invited to the Children Ministry Graduation Ceremony which will be held at 11:15 AM at Indonesian Evangelical Church, San Jose, 600 W. Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008. Feel free to invite all your families, relatives and friends.
Congratulations to the Graduates! The invitation will be sent through an email for students who will be graduating. The graduates will move to their new classes on May 27. Middle school and high school students will be combined in the Teen class. The graduation is based on the students’ grade level at public school.
IEC’S GOT TALENT
All students are invited to participate at the IEC’s Got Talent every third Sunday of each month. IEC’s Got Talent is a talent show – This is an opportunity for our students to share with the IEC family. The oral presentation can include but are not limited to:
- short report on a favorite subject studied during the year, Bible verses learned, Poem, explain a special craft did, share a collection
- Performance: Sing a song learned during the year, perform on a musical instrument or dance a jig
The purposes are:
- To share what the students have learned
- To encourage other families
- To give our students a chance at public speaking in a friendly environment with a supportive audience
All families are invited to come, watch and support all the students. Please come to the worship room at 11:15-11:45 on May 20.
Since the time is limited, we limit about 5-6 students per month with max 5 minutes performance, first come first serve basis. You are welcome to sign up for the following months. When you sign up, please mention the followings: name, age, phone number, email address, performance type (sing/Bible verse/story, etc), equipment you need (boom box/microphone/laptop/projector, etc) & the duration of the performance.

SUNDAY SCHOOL YEAR 2012-2013 BEGIN
FOURTH SUNDAY is ATTENDANCE SUNDAY
The Attendance Sunday reward will be given to students who come on all four Sundays in a row (on the first, second, third, and fourth Sunday). The students will receive 5 extra points on the fourth Sunday from the classroom teacher. We do not count the 5th Sunday.
JUNE – AUGUST – SUMMER READING PROGRAM
All students are invited to join the IEC's Summer Reading "Grow in Christ" which will be held from June - August 2012! Students earn points when they read any 10 books from June - August 2012. BIRTHDAY PARTY
Feel free to use the dining hall for your children’s birthday party on Sunday. However, you need to contact our Party Organizer, Sharon Budijono at least 2 weeks in advance, so she will be able to help you in making the arrangement with the teachers and the facility team. APRIL 1 - BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

FRIDAY, APRIL 6 - GOOD FRIDAY
At dawn the next day, Mary went to look at the tomb but she could not find Jesus. Jesus was gone from the tomb. Where did He go? Who took Jesus away?
Bring your children to find the answer at 7 PM through a special activity*** where the children will bake and enjoy the special bread while listening to a special message delivered by Teacher Bernard Huang. Please rsvp to Teacher Silvi Tan. Since we need to provide bread for each child, you must RSVP by April 1. (***Thanks to Teacher Yanny Prasetya for finding this special activity for the children)

APRIL 8 – EASTER SUNDAY - EGGS HUNTING & DECORATING THE EASTER BASKET
Ready for eggs hunting? Come on Easter Sunday! Teacher Silvi Tan will be hiding lots of eggs for all students to hunt. The students will also be decorating the Easter baskets this Sunday! However, they are welcome to bring their own baskets if they wish.
Come at 10 AM and don’t be late!
APRIL 8 – SPIRIT SUNDAY – N E W P R O G R A M !
Starting April 2012, every 2nd Sunday is Spirit Sunday. The students will get extra points from the classroom teacher for following the instructions in the newsletter.
On April 8, the student will receive extra 5 points for giving a picture of him/her with his/her mom to the classroom teacher. Please note that the picture will not be returned to students.

APRIL 15 & 22 – STORE DONATION SUNDAYS
We welcome donation for the store, please bring them to church in one of these Sundays: April 15 & 22. The next donation day will be on July 15 & 22.

APRIL 29 – THE ARK STORE
Bring all points to the store for new merchandises including the Hello Kitty Collection! Remember the store hour is 11:15 – 11:45 AM. The store will be closed at 11:45 AM to give the teachers some time to have their fellowship too. All sales are final. I would encourage parents to shop with the children during the store hour.
MAY 20 – GRADUATION DAY
The graduation day will be on May 20. The students will move to their new classes on May 27. Middle school and High school students will be combined in Teen class. Parents will receive email notification if their children will graduate. The graduation will be based on the students’ grade at public school.
